Portrait of Kyoden - Eiri CHOKYOSAI

A dark gray mica ground bust portrait of the poet Santo Kyoden. ca. 1795

There has been much confusion about this artist. Three artists have been considered as using "Chokosai", "Rekisentei" and "Shikyusai" with "Eiri"; or they might have been one person. He was a student of Eishi Hosoda.
